Introduction
This policy explains how Creativ Recruits collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and applicable international data protection standards. We prioritise transparency and the continuous improvement of our data protection framework.
We collect only the information necessary for recruitment and placement services, including:
Full name and contact details
Employment history, qualifications, and career preferences
Supporting documents (CVs, references, and IDs)
Special Personal Information: Where required for Employment Equity or vetting (e.g., race or criminal record), we process this only with your explicit consent or where legally mandated
We process personal information based on:
Consent: Explicit permission provided by you
Performance of Contract: Necessary steps to provide recruitment services
Legal Obligation: Compliance with South African labour and tax laws
Legitimate Interest: To facilitate employment opportunities
In accordance with POPIA, you may exercise your rights free of charge. You have the right to establish if we hold your data, request access, or request the correction or deletion of your data.

Creativ Recruits follows a strict Opt-In policy for all electronic communication (Email, SMS, WhatsApp) and telemarketing. We do not use opt-out models. Any consent obtained telephonically is recorded and stored as proof. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time, free of charge.
Security: Data is stored using encryption, password protection, and restricted access
Retention: Unsuccessful candidate data is deleted or anonymised after 24 months unless consent is renewed
Breach Reporting: In the event of a security compromise, we will notify the Information Regulator via the mandatory eServices Portal and notify affected individuals as soon as reasonably possible
Creativ Recruits utilizes cloud-based storage and software services (such as Google Drive, Microsoft 365, or specialized recruitment platforms) which may host data on servers located outside of South Africa (e.g., in the USA or European Union). We ensure that these service providers are subject to laws or binding agreements that provide an adequate level of protection substantially similar to POPIA, as required by Section 72 of the Act.

All candidate evaluations and shortlisting decisions are conducted with human review.
